Recently discovered on Tea Masters blog, Stephane Erler posted an invitation to his Taipei readers to assist at a tea tasting lead by Tea Parker. Here is a picture of the presentation on lapsang souchong tea from China. On the right is Tea Parker.

Here are the two lapsang souchongs we tasted yesterday (sorry for the bad picture!) They are considered as black teas, but they are different from most other teas because they are smoked with pine wood. The result is a pleasant smoky aroma that gives the tea a fullness and very earthy notes. Delicious!

I started to read Tea Masters blog about 10 days ago and had the fortune to participate to a tea tasting held by the tea master called Tea Parker, a tea authority in Taiwan. I had the pleasure to meet Stephane Erler, a Frenchman in Taiwan, avid tea connoisseur and blogger, and his tea experts [...]
